Zoe Saldana Shares Fun Way She Prepped for the Elio Premiere

Zoe Saldaña doesn’t risk her glam getting messed up.

Saldaña, 47, took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 18, to share how she keeps her makeup in place while getting dressed. The actress put a bag over her face, ensuring that her glam wouldn’t smudge on her burnt orange Saint Laurent top and vibrant skirt, which she wore to the Elio premiere in Los Angeles on June 10.

Saldaña laughed in the pics with her stylist, Petra Flannery, as she pulled her shirt over her face.

Thanks to makeup artist Vera Steimberg, Saldaña donned soft brown eyeshadow using the Patrick Ta Major Dimension III Matte Eyeshadow Palette. The rest of her makeup included dewy skin, bronzed cheeks and red lips. Hairstylist Mara Roszak made sure Saldaña’s locks looked flawless by parting her hair down the middle and pulling it back into a loose ponytail. Roszak left Saldaña’s face-framing pieces out and curled her strands.

Saldaña completed her ensemble with pointed-toe heels and gold jewelry.

“And that’s how you GRWM 🤪,” she captioned the playful post. She also gave a shout-out to her stylist and glam squad, writing, “@petraflannery Carefully crafting a slay fit without getting in the way of the artwork done by @makeupbyvera7 and @mararoszak 🙂‍↔️.”

Her celebrity friends laughed with Saldaña in the comments section.

“This !!! 😂😂😂😂,” actress Jill Wagner commented, while Flannery added more laughing emojis.

Saldaña voices Olga Solis in Elio, which also stars Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, Yonas Kibreab and more. At the premiere, Saldaña posed with Jamil, 39, who wowed in a crocodile corset dress featuring a strapless neckline and a fitted skirt. She teamed the look with patent leather pointed-toe Christian Louboutins.

According to the official movie plot, Elio follows “a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession,” per Disney. The movie is set to premiere Friday, June 20.
