Tracker Character Goes to Prison in Sneak Peek of Episode 15

One member of Colter Shaw’s team is putting her neck out on the line for him in the upcoming episode of Tracker season 2.

In a clip from the episode shared by TV Insider, Billie Matalon, wears a blue jumpsuit and her hands are in shackles as she approaches Reenie Greene in a visitation room at a prison.

“You’re telling me he can’t be bothered to show up?” Billie asks Reenie, seemingly referring to Colter not being there though she is in prison as a mole for one of his missions.

“He doesn’t want to blow your cover,” Reenie replies, to which Billie scoffs, “Right.”

“No one bats an eye at a lawyer visiting her client,” Reenie explains.

“Temporary client. No offense, but I’m not the biggest fan of lawyers,” Billie fires back.

“No one is until they need one,” Reenie says. “Look, the warden has one guard in critical condition, another one taken hostage and a missing fugitive. He can’t afford a single misstep. The only reason why he agreed to do this is because of Detective Brock’s niece. So let’s just lay some ground rules.”

After Billie lists the job she has to get done regarding another cellmate at the prison, she says, “This isn’t my first time in jail, you know.

“I’m well aware,” Reenie says.

She tells Reenie that she has memorized her alias, going undercover as an inmate who is in for drug trafficking with a 10 year bid who was transferred due to overcrowding.

“Just be safe. Anything gets too hot, you ask for Hollander” Reenie tells Billie. “She’s the only guard who knows who you really are. You can reach me through her.”

“Ask for Hollander, got it,” Billie repeats.

Reenie gets up to leave the room but turns around to say, “You know I can see why Colter likes you.”

Billie looks over her shoulder at Reenie and says, “Likewise.”

Hollander then comes into the room to get Billie and takes her back to her cell.

We don’t exactly know just yet how Billie initially goes to jail undercover but we’ll surely find out in season 2, episode 15, titled “The Grey Goose.”

“Colter recruits fellow rewardist Billie Matalon (Sofia Pernas) to infiltrate a women’s prison in order to gain access to critical information that would help track down an escaped prisoner and her hostage,” the official logline says.

Many fans may remember when Justin Hartley teased that Sofia would be coming back as Billie in season 2 for a very shocking plot involving her risking it all. Finally, that episode is here.

“He calls on a favor,” he told TV Insider in a February 16 interview. “She doesn’t remember owing him any favors, so he has to remind her. And then she comes in and delivers and she does exactly what he asked for. And then by the end, he realizes that maybe he asked for too much.”

“And they have this really great moment that is just honest and pure and raw, and you find out a little bit more about their relationship and not necessarily what exactly happened, but that something big happened and that it was sort of unfortunate and now, are they going to rebuild?” the This Is Us alum teased. “There’s a lot of feelings there and a lot of emotion there. And you see it in this episode, and I think it’s 215, I believe.”
