18:55 CET – Back to Halle and world number 25 Stefanos Tsitsipas has won an epic three-set battle against talented young Italian Luciano Darderi after edging the deciding set tiebreak.

Tsitsipas booked his place in the next round by winning 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5).

Then, just moments ago, the final match of the day ended in Halle as Quentin Halys edged an all-French affair against Benjamin Bonzi, winning 6-4, 6-4.

18:42 CET – The impressive teenager, Jakub Mensik, has won in impressive fashion against home player Cam Norrie.

In his first time at Queen’s, the Czech player saved break points in the first set before finding a way to win the tiebreak, before facing a setback in the second set as Norrie came back firing.

However, the rising star kept his composure and produced some incredible tennis to outpower Norrie and claim a thrilling 7-6 (8-6), 1-6, 6-1 win.

18:15 CET – World number 29 Sofia Kenin has been stunned in Berlin by Swiss player Rebeka Masarova, who won in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in convincing fashion.

The rising star and sixth seed was beaten by Poland’s Magdalena Frech, who won 2-6, 7-5, 6-0.

Meanwhile, Ons Jabeur – who is a lucky loser in Berlin – has progressed to the second round with a 7-6(5), 6-1 victory over Caroline Dolehide.

14:02 CET – The opening match of the day in Halle looked closely matched on paper, and it proved to be just that as Fabian Marozsan came from a set down to edge past Miomir Kecmanovic 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-4.

13:53 CET – Home player Hannah Klugman has lost on her WTA debut in Nottingham against fourth seed Yulia Putintseva despite showing plenty of signs to be encouraged by for the future.

The world number 27 was ultimately too good, though, and went about her business very calmly and professionally, winning 6-2, 6-2.

Elsewhere in Nottingham, Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska has also won in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) against Olga Danilovic.

13:01 CET – Emma Navarro was in great form in Berlin as she swatted aside Marta Kostyuk, defeating her Ukrainian opponent 6-2, 6-3 in a little over an hour and a quarter.

12:51 CET – Czech qualifier Katerina Siniakova is the first winner of the day, seeing off Viktoriya Tomova in straightforward fashion, 6-1, 6-2, to book her spot in the Berlin second round.

10:30 CET – There are important tournaments on the WTA side this week too, and it is the tournament in Berlin that is getting us underway for the week from 11:30 CET with some of the best players in the world in action.

And we are going to be treated to a player inside the top ten straight away as Emma Navarro faces Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in around an hour.

7:30 CET – Hello and welcome back to another mammoth week of grasscourt action as the countdown to Wimbledon continues.

Headline ATP action comes from Queen’s Club following last week’s maiden WTA version of the historic tournament.

Queen’s is traditionally seen as the warm-up tournament for Wimbledon. Still, with the history attached to the tournament, it is a lot more than just Wimbledon preparation for the players.

Winning this week would mean a lot to whoever can step up and deliver the winning formula.

With the top seeds not in action until later in the week, the focus is on how home players Cam Norrie and Dan Evans can get on this afternoon. Evans has the bigger test after a poor start to the grasscourt season in the Netherlands as he takes on French Open quarter-finalist Frances Tiafoe.

Norrie, meanwhile, takes on one of tennis’s rising stars, Jakub Mensik, in a fascinating encounter on day one of Queen’s.

Getting us underway for the week from 11:30 CET is action from Halle as Fabian Marozsan takes on Miomir Kecmanovic before third seed and one of the hot favourites (alongside home player Alexander Zverev), Daniil Medvedev, opens his campaign.

Follow all the action from Halle, Queen’s, Berlin and Nottingham here.
