World Cup qualifying predictions

Norway’s perfect start to qualifying has them dreaming of a first World Cup appearance since 1998 and the Group I leaders, fresh from Friday’s resounding 3-0 victory over Italy, should easily dispatch an Estonia side who have lost two of their first three matches.

Scoring opportunities should be ample for the visitors in Tallinn, and while superstar striker Erling Haaland will prove popular in the goalscorer markets, there looks to be better value in backing RB Leipzig forward Antonio Nusa to continue his hot streak in front of goal for his country.

The 20-year-old has notched four times in his last three Norway appearances, including when bagging a brace in Slovenia in his home recent away outing.

Nations League quarter-finalists Croatia thrashed Gibraltar 7-0 to kick off their Group L campaign in style, and while life will be much tougher when Czech Republic visit the Opus Arena, the hosts look likely to prevail.

Zlatko Dalic’s side have won five and drawn one of their last six home matches – a run featuring a 2-0 victory over France – and that strong form suggests they can overcome a Czech outfit who have been inconsistent on their travels, winning one, drawing one and losing one of their last three away games.
