UFC star Michael ‘Venom’ Page has found his next fight at middleweight.
The former Bellator title challenger turned a new leaf at 185 lbs earlier this year when he took Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov’s undefeated record in an impressive decision victory at UFC Riyadh.
A longtime welterweight, Michael Page is 2-1 in the UFC with his sole loss coming to top contender Ian Machado Garry at 170 lbs last summer.
Page will look to make it back-to-back wins in the middleweight division at UFC 319, which takes place on the same night as the championship bout between Dricus du Plessis and the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page to fight Jared Cannonier at UFC 319
In his fourth fight under the UFC banner, MVP draws a perennial contender and former title challenger in Jared Cannonier.
The 41-year-old Cannonier is ranked #7 in the world at middleweight and has finishes across three weight divisions in the UFC. Cannonier challenged then champion Israel Adesanya for the belt in 2022 but ultimately lost a five-round decision.
Having gone 3-2 in his last five fights, ‘The Killa Gorilla’ recently bounced back from two losses to Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho with a comeback TKO win over Gregory Rodrigues in February.
Page, 38, is set to meet Cannonier at UFC 319 on Aug. 19 in Chicago, Illinois.

If Page turns in a vintage performance against the top-ranked Cannonier, the top striker could very well be one fight away from a title opportunity.
There are several contenders ahead of Cannonier in the rankings such as former champs Israel Adesanya, Sean Strickland, Robert Whittaker, and his last two defeats Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho.
A win over Cannonier would put MVP in the title mix at 185 lbs, which is a massive step up from beating Shara Magomedov in February.
