Senior point guard Zakai Zeigler is Tennessee’s all-time assists leader, averaging 13.1 points and 7.5 assists per game. Kentucky is without guard Jaxson Robinson due to a season-ending wrist injury, and guard Lamont Butler has been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury. The Wildcats are not nearly as good as Tennessee defensively, which is one reason why the model has the Vols avenging their regular-season losses.
Another surprise: No. 5 Clemson takes down No. 4 Purdue in the second round of the Midwest. The Tigers won a program record 27 games during the regular season before falling to Louisville in the ACC Tournament semifinals. Clemson takes on the McNeese Cowboys in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, and are projected to match up with Purdue in the second round on Saturday.
Clemson enters March Madness 2025 with a NET ranking of 22 in the country, and is 2-1 against top-25 teams this season.
