Luke Bryan stops mid-performance: ‘I totally forgot all the words’

Luke Bryan, 48, had a sudden memory lapse during one of his recent shows.

While performing his song “Strip It Down,” he abruptly stopped playing piano and singing as he had seemingly forgotten the lyrics to his own song as evidenced in a TikTok video shared by a fan on Sunday.

“I totally forgot all the words,” he said, before quickly adding “I got it” while raising his pointer finger and then returning to action.

In the comment section users got a kick out of Bryan’s brain fart.

“When he said ‘I got it’ he had to go fast before he forgot again,” wrote one person, followed by a laughing emoji.

Another said: “I was there, it was so funny.”

A third wrote: ”I love that cause he’s probably like thinking about something else, or like maybe he just remembered something he needs to do later and forgets he was performing.”

Meanwhile, another person claimed that Bryan has done this before at a show. “When I saw him he forgot the words so bad he made us google them,” they wrote.

The “American Idol” judge is currently on his “Country Came On Tour,” which started in Bethel, NY on May 29. While kicking off the tour at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, he shared his two cents on the venue. “This is like my eighth time I believe, and you know what I always forget, there ain’t s— here,” he said. “This is the countriest a– venue that I play.” He further explained that he came to the conclusion due to the lack of fried chicken available to him. “When you’re 45-minutes from the nearest fried chicken, you’re in a country-a– place,” Bryan told the crowd.

Perhaps Bryan had his fave comfort food on the brain when his latest lyric gaffe occurred.
