According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans have signed former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Lorenzo Carter. The 29-year-old spent the last three seasons in Atlanta, recording 125 tackles (76 solo), seven sacks, 23 QB hits, two forced fumbles and one interception over 47 games (29 starts).
The former third-round pick began his career with the New York Giants. Carter spent his first four NFL seasons in New York, recording 14.5 sacks in 49 games (33 starts). He had a career-high five sacks and two forced fumbles in 2021 before cashing in the Falcons in free agency.
Since entering the league in 2018, the former Georgia Bulldog has recorded 170 solo tackles, 21.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.

Atlanta has already signed linebackers Divine Deablo and Leonard Floyd in free agency, so losing Carter was somewhat expected. Former Falcons undrafted free agency Nate Landman has departed for the Los Angeles Rams.
