Chance for strong thunderstorms, hail and damaging winds on Sunday

Sunday is an ALERT DAY as we see another system bring the potential for severe storms tomorrow evening.

  • TONIGHT: Showers, mild, low 53.
  • SUNDAY: ALERT DAY, severe thunderstorms, high 72.
  • MONDAY: AM storms, cooler, high 61.
  • TUESDAY: Partly cloudy, dry, high 53.
  • WEDNESDAY: Widespread rain, unseasonably warm, high 73.
  • THURSDAY: Rain, warm, high 73.
  • FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, chance for showers, high 65.
  • SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, chance for rain, high 65.

Western Ohio is in an enhanced (level 3 of 5) and the rest of us are in a slight (level 2 of 5) chance for thunderstorms, damaging winds, large hail, and a chance for tornadoes. Make sure you are receiving weather alerts. We will wake up to rain in the morning before and afternoon break. The main event looks to start moving into Central Ohio around 7 pm. Keep in mind that the storms could arrive a bit earlier. This looks to last into the late night and early Monday morning hours.

Once this moves through, some isolated showers continue through around noon. Then a break in the rain through Tuesday! More widespread rain arrives Wednesday, and the back half of the week looks to be soggy. Unseasonably warm weather returns as well midweek, and we could see more storms in the forecast.
