The Boston Calling music festival will not be returning to Massachusetts in 2026, organizers said Friday. The three-day festival, an annual Memorial Day weekend event, is taking a “break” but is planning on returning in 2027. However, it will not be held on the holiday weekend.”Thank you for making this year’s Boston Calling such a wonderful experience. Your energy, passion and support mean the world to us,” organizers posted on social media. “As we look ahead, Boston Calling will take a short break in 2026 as we gear up for an exciting return on a new weekend: June 4-6, 2027!”This year’s festival featured country star Luke Combs, alt-rock band Fall Out Boy, Dave Matthews Band and dozens of other performers. Organizers had redesigned the festival, adding water stations and providing indoor spaces after facing criticism last year about their handling of crowds and hot weather.
