Greece vs Scotland LIVE: Latest score and goal updates from Nations League relegation play-off

These are the half-time scores in the Nations League quarter-finals. From a Scotland point of view, they will play the loser of Denmark v Portugal in World Cup qualifying. That’s currently goalless.

Scotland lead thanks to McTominay’s penalty. It was a very soft one, but the visitors take the gift. There is an argument McTominay commits the foul rather the other way around.

Craig Gordon has yet to have a save to make and the midfield of Gilmour and McLean, with McGinn, Ferguson and McTominay supporting Adams, has worked nicely.

Tsimikas can’t trouble Gordon with the free-kick, curling over and rippling the top of the net.

45+2 mins: We’re into two minutes of added time and Ferguson concedes a foul on the edge of the box. He is booked but immediately appeals – he’s right to be aggrieved as Rota made the most of very little contract.

45 mins: WIDE! Oooooh so close from Adams! It’s brilliant from McGinn, spinning through contact on the edge of the box and finding Adams. The striker takes it early, and confidently, striking it well across goal; but it whistles wide.

43 mins; CHANCE! Scotland should be two up! The goalkeeper Tzolakis makes a horror of a clearance and passes straight to Gilmour, who quickly finds Adams. The striker is in the box with the keeper off his line, but shoots too quickly and finds the recovering Tzolakis!

42 mins: More Greece appeals! The captain Mantalos steps across Ferguson and then goes down right on the edge of the box! He was looking for it.

Then, down the other end, Scotland break – Gilmour is played in by Gilmour but the ball gets stuck under his feet. Tsimikas nudges his back and Mavropanos slides in, as Gilmour slices wide.

This won’t be given, either.

40 mins; Greece have upped their urgency a bit before half-time. Masouras lines up the shot from the edge of the box but blasts well wide. Scotland have lost it in midfield a couple of times in the last five minutes or so.

39 mins: Chance! Decent moment for Greece. A clipped cross finds Ioannidis in space on the penalty spot but he heads over the bar. He’d worked about a yard of space from Souttar but got too much on it.

37 mins: McLean is fortunate to get away with catching Tzolis. It was just outside the box but the Greece fans were roaring for a penalty – they feel hard done by after Scotland received a penalty at the other end.
