Mark Ruffalo has a message for Americans: Billionaires are the problem, not immigrants. The Hulk actor and Oscar nominee, who recently participated in one of the No Kings protests against Donald Trump‘s policies, has been using social media to speak out against ICE raids and Trump-mandated deportations.
Ruffalo said in a social media video that “immigrants aren’t criminals” and “add to our economy by the billions.” It’s the “billionaires who are the true villains” and “who are really making our lives unbearable and making us so desperate,” he argued. “It’s time to take our country back from extreme wealth that has its hands all over the power of the nation.”
In a statement recently posted to his Instagram profile, Ruffalo called out supporters of Trump’s immigration policies by writing: “You want to get rid of the people who are picking your food, without a care in the world for who is poisoning your bodies with chemicals that aren’t ever meant to be in nature. You want to drive out those who make your life easier but not question those who dull your minds with lies and disinformation meant to confuse you and destroy brotherly and sisterly love for us here? Your pointing your guns in the wrong direction.”
Ruffalo referred to Trump as “the billionaire up top” who is “stealing you blind and you are worried about the poorest of the poor ruining your life?”
“The president is a grifter,” Ruffalo continued. “His family is raking it in with their bit coin con, the dopey tech billionaire takes your tax money to make himself richer than any person in the history of mankind with his pipe dream of living on Mars, while you starve, while you worry, while he gleefully lets people with AIDS, people suffering famine, or persecution or political danger silently die. He fires your family members, and stops cancer research to help cure the ones you love. You are pointing the gun in the wrong direction.”
Ruffalo recently flexed his acting chops in Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17” and has the drama “Crime 101” set for release in 2026. He’s also playing the lead role in HBO’s “Task,” the new police drama from “Mare of Easttown” creator Brad Ingelsby. The series debuts in September.
