John Mulaney to Guest with Jon Stewart on Tonight’s ‘Daily Show’

Jon Stewart is back at The Daily Show desk tonight, kicking off the week with guest John Mulaney—comedian, writer, actor, and now late-night host. Mulaney will be on hand to promote both his Netflix series Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney and his upcoming stand-up tour, Mister Whatever.

Stewart was a guest on the predecessor to Mulaney’s Everybody’s Live, Everybody’s in LA last year, and the two comics are scheduled to share a bill later this month with Pete Davidson at the Prudential Center in Newark as part of the  North to Shore Festival.

Tonight’s appearance will mark Mulaney’s first time appearing as a guest on The Daily Show. Both shows are currently vying for one of just three nominations in the Emmys Outstanding Talk Show category this year.

Tuesday and Wednesday night’s Daily Show episodes will be hosted by Jordan Klepper, who returns to helm the show for two nights with a pair of high-profile guests. On Tuesday, Klepper will welcome former President Bill Clinton and bestselling author James Patterson to discuss their new political thriller, The First Gentleman. Wednesday’s guest is Matt Berninger, frontman of The National, promoting his new solo album Get Sunk.

There will be no new episode on Thursday, as The Daily Show heads into a planned two-week summer hiatus. The show is set to return with new episodes July 7th.
