The 9-1 Lynx suffered their first loss of the season last Wednesday to the Seattle Storm. Despite the loss, star forward Napheesa Collier still finished with 25 points and nine rebounds. Kayla McBride also contributed with 19 points.
The Sparks are 4-7 and are coming off a 97-89 win over the Las Vegas Aces, in which Rickea Jackson dropped 30 points. Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens each had 19 points.
The Commissioner’s Cup, a two-and-a-half-week-long in-season tournament, is currently coinciding with league play. The Lynx are 3-1 in tournament play, and the Sparks are 2-1.
The two teams previously met on May 18, a matchup in which the Lynx won, 89-75.
