The Son of the Wind is proud of Hyesung.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo shared his thoughts on his teammate Kim Hye-sung when he was with Kiwoom Heroes as an opposing player in an interview ahead of an away game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on the 14th (Korea time).

He said, “It’s not the kind of situation where I’m going to talk about (Kim) Hye-sung,” but said, “It’s just amazing.”

ahead of this seasonKim Hye-sung, who agreed to a three-year contract with Juss, started the season in Triple-A, but has been showing good performance with a batting average of 0.391 on-base percentage of 0.435 slugging percentage in 29 games since the call-up.

When it was first called up, it was considered a replacement for Tommy Edman’s injury, but now it has established itself as more than a replacement.

“It’s great,” said Lee Jung-hoo, who continued, “The situation is not easy, but it’s really great to overcome it and be on the roster, and I’m a friend, but I’m respectful.”

“I think it’s really ridiculous,” he said of Kim Hye-sung’s challenge, who knows how difficult it is to survive here while living in the Major League.

Although he showed his respect for his old colleague, he is competing for the next three days. The Dodgers are ranked first in the National League West with 41 wins and 28 losses, and San Francisco is ranked second in the district with 40 wins and 29 losses.

“I’m not nervous,” said Lee Jung-hoo, who continued, “I just think it’s the same three-game series. It is true that it is an important game, but it may not work well if you are too conscious. The players are also saying, “Let’s do the same for all teams,” he said of the attitude of preparing for the first match of the season against the Dodgers.

Having experienced the Dodgers’ away trip once last year, he said, “Here at Dodger Stadium itself is a big stadium, so there is also a grand feeling. It was also a different experience to be booed as an away player in front of overwhelming home fans. It was fun,” he said about how he felt about playing an away game against a rival team.

Lee Jung-hoo is already loved by San Francisco fans, but if he does well against the rival Dodgers, he will be loved even more.

He said, “I hope I do well and the team does well, but I will do my best to finish this series with the Winning Series.”

San Francisco is currently out with third baseman Matt Chapman and catcher Patrick Bailey injured. As the season goes to the middle of the season, injury management is emerging as a hot topic.

Lee Jung-hoo said, “Now that summer is approaching and the injured players are coming out little by little, I’m trying to pay as much attention to preventing injuries as possible. Just as there is a saying that the team that goes as the opening team performs well, we should pay attention to injury management,” he said.

Last week, he was excluded from two of the three consecutive home games against the Atlanta Braves due to back injury, but he said, “The coach was considerate of me even then. He managed it even though he was originally in a situation where he could play. It is perfect now,” he said, signaling that there is no problem with his physical condition.

San Francisco will play with the lineup of Lee Jung-hoo (center fielder), Willie Adames (striker), Eliot Ramos (left fielder), Dominic Smith (first baseman), Wilmer Flores (designated hitter), Casey Schmidt (third baseman), Mike Yastremski (right fielder), Tyler Fitzgerald (second baseman) and Andrew Kisner (catcher). Logan Webb is the starter.
